A Brief History

New Life Presbyterian Church began as a small Bible study that met in the home of Jack and Rosemarie Miller—a couple intent on sharing the love of Jesus Christ with those in need. In the early 70’s, this small group began holding worship services in Jenkintown, PA on Sunday afternoons and looked for ways to make Jesus known to each other, their community, and the world.

Their efforts led to the founding of World Harvest Mission in 1983 — a missions agency that now has over 140 missionaries serving on five continents; the development of Sonship — a curriculum that has helped numerous pastors and church leaders apply the theological truths of the Bible to their daily lives; and the planting of a number of daughter churches in the Philadelphia area.

New Life now meets in Glenside and has recently called Terry Traylor as pastor and moderator of the session. The Church continues to support missionary efforts overseas, church planting in Philadelphia, and showing mercy to those in our community.
