Youth Ministries

Both Junior and Senior High meet for Sunday School at 9:50am, during Education Hour.

Junior High

Developing community-oriented, theologically rich, and mission-minded students. Junior High Nights are held on Friday nights from 6:30–9pm.

  • Community
We believe that a viable and sustainable Junior High ministry is dependent upon a solid group of staff members, volunteers, and parents working together to support students through teaching, fellowship, and outreach.
  • Theology
We believe that the system of doctrine contained in the Westminster Standards is both Biblically sound and contextually relevant. We also believe that God calls us to engage our culture with a Biblically-based, Christ-centered approach to current issues.
  • Mission
We believe that no person is too young to serve Christ through missions. We believe that God calls us to live out the Gospel by loving our local and global neighbors.

Help support the Jr. High by teaching a Sunday school class, leading Bible studies, chaperoning events, praying for families, or simply getting to know kids and encouraging them in their faith.  To learn more or get involved with the Junior High, contact Caitlyn Valla.

Senior High

Senior High Discipleship Groups meet on Sunday nights from 6:30–8:30pm.

Our vision is to develop teenagers who are deeply rooted in God’s word, committed to the body of Christ expressed in his Church, and dedicated to His service—reaching out to their communities and the world.

Our mission is to engage, enfold, and enrich the teenagers of New Life by proclaiming God’s Word, worshiping as a body of believers, and demonstrating God’s merciful love in word and deed together. The Senior High does a monthly service project.

We value:

  • Christ-Centeredness
All teaching, activities, discipleship, and outreach ultimately point back to Jesus Christ and the meaning of his life, death, and resurrection.
  • A Sense of Community
The youth group is an integral part of the church as a whole, fostering a sense of community among kids in the group, kids in the church, youth leaders, and parents.
  • Mercy Mindedness
We desire to look outside self and serve others in need within our church, our community, and around the world.
Vital Worship and Vibrant Fellowship. We promote activities that draw kids and their friends to attend—particularly well-planned activities and events that reinforce the Senior High mission and vision.
  • Discipleship
The effective discipleship of teenagers flows from the intentional discipleship of adults. Kids learn by what they see; leaders demonstrate a commitment to serving God and keeping his commands.
  • Fun!
In Senior High ministry we believe that laughter is good medicine and are committed to embracing the fun of being a teenager while still bringing honor and glory to God.
